Work
PVD Grotesk
A grotesque with an industrial posture and an unexpected warmth at small sizes. Started as a study of 1930s Dutch commercial printing specimens, ended up somewhere of its own. Available in 6 weights plus italics.
Type History Weekly
Every Thursday: one forgotten typeface, its story, its context, and why it matters or doesn't. No trends, no "top 10 fonts for 2025." Just history. Started in 2021 with 40 readers. Most of them still here.
Lectures — Royal Academy
A recurring lecture series on the history of Dutch type and printing culture at the Royal Academy of Art. Four sessions per year, open to students from any department. Attendance is voluntary. The room is usually full.
